Job Description

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be part of Novena Tec's global Semiconductor sales team based in China. Novena Tec is an innovative engineering design and services company that helps semiconductor manufacturers to reduce operating costs, increase revenues and grow their market share. We do this with innovative engineering enhancements custom designed to reduce manufacturing process particles, minimize equipment downtime and improve production yields. Our customers are IC fabrication facilities around the globe. Other markets we serve include telecommunications, electronics design, fabrication, renewable energy and transportation. Founded in 2008, Novena Tec is headquartered in Orlando Florida and operates out of offices and design centres located in North America, Europe and Asia.

Basic Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Chemical), Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Material Science), Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Required language(s): English & Mandarin
  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in a related field is required for this position.
  • Required Skill(s): MS Office, Problems-solving, Salesmanship, Verbal and written Communication Skills, Technical Skills
  • Preferably Supervisor/5 Yrs & Up Experienced Employee specialized in Sales - Engineering/Technical/IT or equivalent.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for increasing Novena Tec market share and awareness in the semiconductor industry, identifying technical challenges of customers, Channel Partner development, new account development, qualify and manage sales opportunities targeting to meet and exceed annual sales budgets. Your Tasks as a Technical Sales Engineer will include the following:

  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations explaining products or services to existing and prospective customers
  • Confer with customers and engineers to assess equipment needs and to determine system requirements
  • Collaborate with global sales and R&D teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support
  • Secure and renew orders and arrange delivery
  • Plan and modify products to meet customer needs
  • Help clients solve problems with installed equipment
  • Recommend improved materials or machinery to customers, showing how changes will lower costs or increase production
  • Help with researching and developing new products
  • Manage and grow the existing business as well as setting up and branding a new technical Product line
  • Communicate with the engineering and technical customer support teams to ensure proper and on-time customer support
  • Collect customer feedback on product improvements and product development
  • Eliminate sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
  • Think ahead of the customer, in terms of understanding not only current but future challenges, risks and opportunities for the customer in their industry
  • Generate customer business through aggressive prospecting and utilizing existing
  • Travel throughout sales territory

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with clients and effectively communicating with other members of the sales team
  • Problem-solving skills to listen to the customer’s desires and concerns, and then recommend solutions, possibly including customizing a product
  • Confident and persuasive when making sales presentations
  • Technological skills and extensive knowledge of the products in order to explain their advantages and answer questions
  • Self-motivated with a proven track record in software sales and knowledge of technology
  • Comfortable in the dynamic atmosphere of a technical organization with a rapidly expanding customer base
  • Organized and analytical
  • Must be prepared for extensive travel
  • 3-5+ years relevant experience in vendor sales
