The Role and Responsibilities

This management position requires an energetic and self-motivated individual with excellent communication, organization, and technical skills to work cross-functionally with other organizations (internal and external), who can communicate at all levels of management. This is a unique opportunity for a senior professional who enjoys a high-level of independence, visibility and responsibility.

• Lead software QA efforts related to the current and next-gen Roku TV platforms.
• Recruit, manage, coach, develop world class QA engineers, in both manual and automation focus areas.
• Foster and influence highly collaborative teamwork both internally and externally.
• Provide technical direction, guidance, and hands-on management.
• Drive effort estimation and planning with a focus on high impact and efficiency.

Experience/Qualifications

• 5+ years of successful experience in managing a QA team of 5+ engineers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent.
• Proven track record working and collaborating with multiple geographical locations.
• Deep understanding and proven experience in industry leading SQA methodologies, practices and tools.
• Proven track record in QA automation in role of QA manager.
• Proven track record of hiring and building high performance teams.
• Proven track record in driving decision making backed up with high quality data.
• Extensive experience with Smart TV/STB.
• Proven track record of shipping high quality software on embedded platforms.
• Experience working with ODM and building products for mass production at scale.
• Ability to see the big picture while focused on short-term objectives and deliverables.
• Ability to multi-task and drive parallel projects with tight deadlines with a focus on details.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
