DESCRIPTION

Serko is an established leader in the Australasian market in travel and expense management applications aimed at making business travel personal. Zeno, our new platform, is revolutionising the world of online travel and expense management, providing the control that travel managers need with an easy interface that travellers love.

Our Engineering and Operations teams have been investing time in improving our products and processes to support the rapid growth and scale that commercial success brings. Some of the improvements we are implementing include Microservices, Micro-frontends, DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ongoing Refactoring.

We are hiring people from different backgrounds, experiences, abilities and perspectives to help us build a world-class team. Our engineering and operations team values inclusion, diversity, collaboration, autonomy, simplicity, continuous improvement, and fun!

We are looking for engineers in Foshan, China who are interested in joining us on our journey as we extend, adapt and improve our products. Opportunities range from building new front-end modules, enhancing our backend services and in some places engineering new versions of modules. Most importantly, we look for people who are keen to learn and help us find new and innovative ways to build well-crafted software that delights customers.

REQUIREMENTS

What will you do on a daily basis?

-Collaborate with cross-functional product engineering teams to create quality software that our customers love

-Produce clean, consistent and well-organised code that we regularly push to production on our technology stack:

C# and Web API

MS SQL, Redis and Azure storage

Azure infrastructure and platform services

-Work with the team to identify and implement improvements in our processes, practices and product

-Work in a “build it and run it” environment where engineering teams build, deploy, monitor and support their components that they own

What would you bring to the role?

-An experienced engineer who is interested in learning and applying the technologies and frameworks in our stack.

-Open to receiving and giving feedback in a safe and inclusive work environment

-Keen interest in adopting modern development practices especially around emergent design, automation and continuous delivery

-Willingness to jump into our legacy code to improve it when needed
