Meltwater’s Client Insights team is the vital function which is designed to empower our clients in China. By handling various sources of data, we helps our clients to uncover insights and gather analytics in the market which they are operating in. We deliver intelligence reports based on our analysis of different media outlets and social medias. We help to analyze media impact, draw out trends and deliver that analysis to our client. About Operations Lead

As a Operation Lead, you will oversee the Client Insight Team day to day operations and provide support for a wide variety of operation tasks that are assigned by Project Manager, that make sure the team is running in an optimal and effective manner. This will encompass everything from provide general secretarial work support to Project Manager, organizing team events, recruitment, new hires onboarding and offboarding, office facilities management, billing management and other payroll processing. The ideal person will have strong service-oriented focus, ensuring the Client Insight team and their work environment are at their best. This person will also have strong project management skill that can manage various operations related projects.

What you will be doing?

  • Serve as main point of contact for all operation needs for Client Insight Team

  • Provide administrative support to Project Manager as needed such as calendar management, document preparation, travel & logistic arrangement, and etc.

  • Manage, coordinate and organize office events, social activities and charitable giving

  • Ensure all processes for new hire and terminations are followed, working closely with HR, IT and Project Manager

  • Onboard new employees, including equipment set up, scheduling onboarding events, and logistics

  • Process the payroll for part time employees, monthly billing and reimbursement, reconciling invoices and verifying receipts

  • Coordinate the IT department on the Client Insight team office equipment

  • Provide support on recruitment and training

  • Order office supplies as needed; keep supplies stocked and organized

  • Manage relationships with vendors and service provider, ensuring that all items are invoiced and paid on time


What we would like to see from you


  • Bachelor degree holder

  • 1-3 years working experience in relevant areas (administrative, operational, assistant, client service etc.)

  • Team oriented and willing to go above and beyond to support teammates

  • Resourceful, thoughtful, and solution-oriented

  • Detail-oriented and good time management skill

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (both English and Chinese)

  • Able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment

  • Good interpersonal skills, organization and administrative skills

  • Demonstrates independence to perform the job effectively with minimal supervision

  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
