Position Summary:
 
Reporting to the VP Quality and Regulatory, the Associate Director of China Regulatory Affairs is responsible for GB regulatory compliance of Munchkin nutritional products in the China market. The AD of China RA will work closing with the China Business team and broader Munchkin organization to launch nutritional products in China compliant with all Chinese regulations. The AD of China RA will work to register nutritional products by interfacing with the appropriate Chinese regulatory administrations, consultants and business team members. The AD of China RA will be responsible for communicating and resolving any emerging regulatory issues with Munchkin nutritional products.

You’ll Do:
- Responsible for governance of, changes to, and implementation of China regulatory standards and practices through direct contact with regulatory authorities, Munchkin team members, and contract manufacturing resources to facilitate the development of a regulatory policy consistent with building and protecting the Munchkin business
- Provides market specific regulatory guidance through proactive participation in industry associations to facilitate the promulgation of appropriate regulatory policy
- Promotes compliance with Munchkin and China market regulatory policies, practices, standard operating procedures, and all applicable regulatory requirements and laws
- Monitors science and technology developments for regulatory policy impact on Munchkin China nutritional business and communicates opportunities and strategies for maximum business success
- Partners with the broader Munchkin business team members to define regulatory framework, claims and required substantiation during early development of innovation projects and to support potential new claims
- Participates in cross-category exchange of regulatory and scientific affairs expertise
- Fosters development Munchkin team members through coaching, mentoring, education, and training to expand Munchkin’s expertise in China regulatory matters
- Participates on crisis management teams to assess regulatory impact and assist in developing communication plan of action and market remediation to enhance crisis management performance
- Other duties may be assigned

Bring It!
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, or related technical area
- 10 years of experience in the infant formula industry or a combination of 10 years of experience in the infant formula, dairy and/or food industry
- Knowledge of applicable Chinese infant formula, follow on formulas, and nutritional product regulations and standards.
- Expert in Chinese and English languages
- Experience in healthcare and/or nutrition business sector
- Experienced in interacting with Chinese regulatory officials
- Knowledgeable of customer service best practices for infant formula and healthcare products
