A major player in Europe, TIMAB, a subsidiary of Roullier Group, produces and markets mineral raw materials (phosphates and magnesia), mainly for animal feed. TIMAB also offers its products to many other industries including: fertilisers, agribusiness, paper, road de-icing and wastewater treatment industries. Present worldwide, TIMAB keeps on expanding its sales plan and getting autonomous in raw materials supply.

Market manager in Magnesia for Asia and South East Asia
Market manager M/F SPECIALZED IN FERTILIZER AND ANIMAL FEED PRODUCTS

Reports to: Zone manager/Commercial director/RBU/Functional manager:
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Ensure goods from the TIMAB range are brought to an identified market (zone & products), and ensure this market is developed, in accordance with the objectives laid out by management (margin, volume, market share).
MAIN RESPONSABILITES: (definition of missions)
- Monitor and develop the client portfolio:
o Analyse markets in order to determine levers for the commercial development for TIMAB:
§ perform market studies,
§ perform market intelligence activities,
§ perform business and political intelligence activities,
§ ensure prices are monitored,
§ ensure regulations are observed and health and safety standards are met,
o Uncover and win over new clients, according to priorities laid out in the sales policy:
§ propose a development strategy and validate it with management
§ identify key stakeholders and contacts in various markets
§ Contact the key stakeholders in the various markets (phone, client meeting) and identify their requirements
§ identify relevant national/international events (expos, fairs, etc.) and represent the company at them
o Monitor the current portfolio:
§ Anticipate the requirements of clients and provide suitable solutions
§ Monitor the application of commercial contracts
§ Perform sales trips and activities to find clients
§ Increase the loyalty of existing clients, in particular by ensuring customer satisfaction (client relationships, monitoring the correct implementation of contract, dealing with complaints)
§ Continually analyse the competition and optimise any partnerships (suppliers, carriers, etc.) together with dedicated support services
§ (suppliers, carriers, etc.)
o Negotiate:
§ Identify levers for commercial negotiation
§ Negotiate commercial contracts
§ Draft commercial contracts
- Ensure the correct processing of client orders:
o Monitoring logistics:
§ Identify the logistic solutions suited to client needs
§ Monitor trips
§ Ensure customs, insurance and transport formalities are observed
§ Manage any cases of litigation
§ Monitor and control logistics costs
o Monitor payments:
§ Develop comprehensive understanding of terms for payment in relevant market
§ Identify and deal with payment risks in the market
§ Define the safest terms of payment taking into consideration the client's problems
- Reporting:
o Establish reports for relevant activity/market
o Prepare reports on client portfolios/visits
o Pass on any market information that could be of interest to colleagues or management
QUALITY, SECURITY, ENVIRONMENT:
- Quality:
o Report any client complaint to the Quality service using the form integrated into the QSE system. In the case of a complaint regarding the quality of a product, provide a sample provided by the client for analysis.
o Contribute towards client satisfaction and the principle of continuous improvement by always listening carefully to the client.
- Road safety:
o Ensure road safety policy is respected during any transit
o Ensure dangerous products are not transported in the boot of your car unless absolutely required and in small quantity
o Respect the regulations defined in the check-list summarizing good driving practices
- Safety - Hygiene:
o Understand the risks associated to products: understanding of warning signs, knowledge of rules for storage and transport (compatibility)
o Respect the security regulations imposed by the client company (wear individual safety equipment, access rules, driving rules, etc.)
- Environment:
o Respect rules regarding waste products on Client sites
o Take care not to discharge chemical products into the grid
o Adopt an eco-driving approach
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Education required: Higher education in international trade required / Any related education
- Experience required:
o Around 2 to 5 years experience in a role related to business development in an international environment, ideally in the raw materials sector or related
o Knowledge of relevant geographical area desirable
- Technical skills required:
o Language/level:
§ English : fluent
§ Extra language : fluent
o Understanding of working methods and culture of host country(s)
o Understanding on international trade techniques (market studies, contract, processing orders, etc.)
o Understanding of customs regulations
o Understanding of financial management techniques (balance sheet analysis, indicators)
o Understanding of international logistics would be desirable
o Knowledge of terms of payment would be desirable
