Be proficient in the following Process/databases/tools:

Can draw Eelctrcial Schematics, and Circuit Analysis,

BOM creation, electronic Part selection,

Electronic Product Electrical / Environmental Testing, Prototype sample build verification and testing,

Programming knowledge and experience of PLC, MicroChip or equivalent,

Data charting graphing, Data analysis and manipulation, proficient in Microsoft office and presentation tools,

Proficient in electronic subsystem design and control operation

Familiar with IC programming, OS manipulation, file structures, serial data communications and diagnostic tools

Familiar with Electronic manufacturing and processing of component / subsystem

Support the following Electrical activities:

Schedule and participate in Design Reviews

Coordinate and manage New Product Development Team (NPI).

Prepare project plans, track product timing requirements and part availability dates.

Assist with the failure mode and effects analysis process (FA)

Determine and investigate design and mechanization alternatives

Support / Perform electrical packaging and bracket design studies

Assist with the definition of system requirements

Perform design analysis and trade-off studies

Recommend additional testing and development as required

Provide technical direction to relevant Engineering and Support Groups such as Supply Chain, Quality, Sales, and Manufacturing departments.

Perform Engineering Change Notice (ECN) for release and change of hardware, software, calibrations, brackets and packaging.

Perform / Support bench and production software/hardware checkout

Assist with root cause, resolution and verification of system issues and test incidents

Stay abreast of new technologies and customer’s competition

Assist / Review / Approve the following:

Schematics, PCB Layouts, BOM’s, ECN’s, Work Instruction, Process Flow

DV, PV, DFMEA, PFMEA, FTA

Parts substitution, Part changes, Owners Manual, system replacements.

Worksite Location / General Hours:

The engineer shall be at the Epoch facilities full-time unless negotiated with Engineering manager and approved by GM. To be able to work some weekends or over time for product launches if needed.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree (4 year degree) in Automation Engineering or in Electrical Engineering from a good University.

Minimum 3 to 4 years experience in design or development with Supplier on supplied component / subsystem

Good Chinese / English written and oral communication skills - must be able to clearly and concisely communicate technical information

Good interpersonal skills - must work well in a team

Good organizational skills - must be able to manage several projects efficiently
