Objective / Purpose of Job
Supervise and lead engineers, technicians, designers and other personnel involved in the design, planning and development of engineering projects as well as support personnel. Oversee production designing, process designing and testing.
Roles and Responsibilities
? Verify compliance with plans, industry and project standards, building codes, legal requirements and more
? Review and approve all project plans and specifications
? Managing resources as required for the execution of the engineering aspects of projects to ensure:
o Performance meets budgetary and schedule targets
o Output meets quality and safety criteria as detailed by the company's policies
o Compliance with standards, legislation and customer policies, (including 3rd party certification where appropriate)
? Designing cost-effective equipment modifications to help improve safety, reliability and throughput
? Planning and designing new production processes
? Considering the implications of issues such as cost, safety and time constraints
? Monitoring and commissioning plant and systems
Experience and Knowledge
? Bachelor degree qualified in mechanical engineering discipline with 5-10 years relevant experience within mechanical manufacturing division.
? A positive attitude and the ability to work autonomously and take decisions under pressure when required will be an asset.
? Demonstrable skills in the direct management of staff.
? Excellent communication and presentation skills at all internal levels.
? High level of expertise with Microsoft project which will be the primary tool for planning and reporting.
? Chinese and English fluent as native speaker
