Key Responsibilities
Hotel Strategy and Management
-Fully contribute to the design of the hotel's business strategy
Revenue
Analyze competitors’ activities and pricing strategy.
Responsible through the Revenue Manager to maximize occupancy and average rate through good inventory and yield management control.
Identification of the capabilities of the hotel to serve the various types of business and programming of hotel sales efforts to solicit those sources the hotel is best qualified to serve, profitably.
Maintenance of Systems and procedures
Maximize the use of systems and maintain accuracy of all reservations and other data
Selling strategy
Fully introduce the use of yield planners, selling matrix/yield system, weekly availability meetings, availability from systems.
Plans and executes sales trips to major market areas.
Definition of sales procedures by defining the various steps in dealing with inquiries for rooms and Banquet sales, establishment and control of same day 24/hrs, response time commitment.
Account Management
Procures new and repeat business by monitoring contact with commercial houses, meeting planners, travel agencies, wholesalers, private clubs, professional associations and airlines within local, domestic and key international markets
Coordination of strategy and servicing of accounts with National Sales Office
Promotes business for other Hilton Hotels.
Team Management
Marketing & Public Relations
Cash Management
Monitor daily credit card transactions, reconciliation, charge backs and retrieval handing. Sign off daily on all credit card credits processed.
Review A/R ageing daily and ensure timely collection calls, and account follow up to maintain ageing within acceptable limits
Extend credit as agreed with Finance and ensure all accounts stay within pre-set credit limits
Creates and updates GUEST CREDIT POLICY, GROUP/EVENT CREDIT POLICY AND PROCEDURES. Enforces credit policy daily and ensure all sales and convention staff fully trained.
Budget and Fiscal
Produces the annual Revenue Plan, S&M budgets and forecasts in conjunction with Hotel Team, and well control expenses
Requirements:
Hospitality/Travel/leisure industry management professional
Strong commercial acumen, with experience in drafting and managing budgets/revenue proposals; analysing and forecasting results/market segments and rates
Culturally aware and flexible
Excellent people motivator; good communication skills
Excellent and fluent command of English.
Proficient in accounts management/events management systems
Experience in Fidelio/GEM, would be an advantage.
