Key Result Areas

1. Monitor the customer sourcing requests, pricing and development of new vendors.

2. Prepare presentation files for Management.

3. Consolidation of feedback and pricing from offices

4. Commodity sourcing database set-up and maintenance;.

5. Maintain customer team-room reports and ensure information is up-to-date and correct.

6. Initiative to highlight problems findings to Management.

7. Analyze and optimize purchasing acceptance standard to develop a reasonable supply base to meet operation requirements with high quality and low cost

8. Support global procurement strategy implementation in the region;

9. Develop effective network in the China garment industry. Develop and manage supplier relationship;

10. Run supplier assessment, supplier development, and qualification&allocation process with support of cross-function team;

11. Monitor the Vendor On-boarding progress.

12. To develop and nurture business partnerships with other internal departments and external entity, like suppliers, for meeting customer requirements.

13. Prepare Top Selling Item reports for Management.

Work closely with internal departments and offshore offices

Qualifications, experience, skills and other requirements

·At least 12 years relevant experience in similar position, preferably in buying office/trading company. .

·Educated to a post-secondary level, preferably in related subjects like textile merchandising.

·Knowledge of garment and factory way of working.

·Knowledge of garment costing structure and the different elements involved.

·Proficiency in computer skills and different kinds of applications.

·Good communication skills in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.

·Good analytical skills, strong sense on figures and detailed minded.

·Good organization skills and time management.

·Self-motivated and able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

·Pleasant, patient and willing to deal with people from different cultures.

·A pro-active approach is essential.

·Frequent travel required.
