ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to
1. Develop and execute a procurement strategy for commodities including competitive benchmarking and supplier analysis. Understand and communicate supplier technical roadmaps to engineering and various internal MPS organizations.
2. Negotiate, manage and review contractual arrangements and compliance at local, regional, and worldwide level for major commodities, and provide feedback to the suppliers regarding their performance.
3. Ability to work with minimal structure and possesses a high level of creativity.
4. Keep informed of key industry, market, and commodity information including: size/scope of commodity, trends, market conditions and best in class suppliers
5. Responsible for supplier relationship, performance reviews, business development and supplier awards programs. Position requires interaction with other internal groups concerning technical matters, conveying ideas, and recommending possible solutions to problems.
6. Responsible for new products sourcing to support MPS global design locations. Develop and maintain new product sourcing plans adhering to corporate time to market goals.
7. Provide BOM cost analysis, works with Engineering, Suppliers and Contract Manufacturer to drive total cost reduction

SKILLS and ABILITIES

1. Possesses strong product/technology/ industry knowledge in Electronics and mechanical components supply market
2. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
3. Leadership & Cross functional skills, ability to influence others to achieve results.
4. Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills. Able to communicate in a professional manner with internal customers and external suppliers.
5. Good knowledge of various computer applications such as: Strong MS Excel is a must and Material Requirement Planning System (MRP)
6. Ability to consolidate, manipulate and analyze large quantities of data.
7. Fluent in English and Mandarin, able to speak Cantonese is an asset

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE.

1. University Degree in related field (Commerce or Engineering)
2. Min 6 years in electronics Supply Chain capacity with 3 years sourcing experiences.
