职位描述

Accountability
1 Manage all quality assurance & control functions to achieve accurate and objective quality process & output results in accordance with the Company’s quality achievements.
Develop and recommend objectives for the SQE staff to improve and upgrade the quality of products.
2 Adhere to the budget and the expense guidelines and through strict cost control measures to ensure that controllable expenses do not exceed the approved budget.
3 Maintain contact and communicate with customers’ QA/QC & production to ensure the Company understands customers’ needs in regard to quality and provides quality assurance and quality control services in support of those needs.
4 Work closely with the NPI, PM, & SCM to explain customers’ and the Company’s quality standards, to familiarize them with the quality assurance & control systems & procedures as these relate to their activities, and to assist with resource selection, as well as analyzing the
current resource structure from a quality aspect.
5 Analyze quality claims, complaints, & issues occurred and take appropriate action with the affected parties (NPI, PM, SCM, & the vendors).
6 Use the performance appraisal and salary administration systems to identify qualified performers in the department, to ensure that they are retained and, where applicable, developed through internal and external training and professional development programs.
7 Maintain the Company’s ISO 9001 & SA 8000 systems and help the Company’s vendors/factories to establish quality & management systems like ISO 9001, ISO 14000, SA 8000, C-TPAT (GSV) etc.

Preventive

1 Carry out timely evaluations of prospective factories and annual re-evaluations of existing factories to ensure those factories’ capability
and compliance are accurately recorded.
2 Assist NPI, PM, & SCM, where needed, in matching product development objectives with appropriate primary or secondary resources.
3 Analyze vendors’ quality performance in order to identify training needs and provide feedback to NPI, PM, SCM and vendors.
4 Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on quality standards, quality assurance & control systems and procedures, and problem solving.

Problem Solving

1 At pre-production and in-line inspection stages, work with the appropriate factory QA & QC personnel to identify causes and corrective action for problems found during inspection.
2 Conduct inspections on trouble-shooting assignments.
3 In case shipment rejection is challenged, assists the SQE associate, when necessary, in presentation of the findings and recommendation to the resource.


The Candidate Specific requirements

1 Minimum 15 years of experience in the relevant area, with not less than 5 years in a similar position.
2 A strong leader who can make right judgments with good communication and people skill in coaching and motivating team members.
3 Excellent communication & interpersonal skills to work with Customers and Vendors’counterparts.
4 Good command of spoken and written English.
