Summary:

Position and responsibilities: Serving as a leader of the Student Residence Management area, The RD (Resident Director) provides leadership for all features of the residence program and community. The main responsibilities include system management, staff supervision, community development and facilities management, communications and training, services and overall administration of the residence program. Additional duties involve numerous collaborative efforts within student life areas and across the School.

Student: (maximum) 1,100 students of Grade 7 – Grade 12, all the students are selected via Entry-Examinations with strong academic background

Dormitory: Two International style dormitory buildings, renovated in 2012 and 2014;

Subordinates: 8 – 12 Resident Assistants (Bilingual staff; with bachelor’s degree)

Job Description

1、Develop and maintain a 24/7 Students Residence Management System so as to ensure the students to live and study in a safe, healthy and comfortable dormitory environment; and support the students to develop an independent and healthy life. The expected management system includes: organization chart, chain of command, standard procedures, policies and evaluation standards.
2、Supervise all the full-time RA (8 - 12 Resident Assistants with Bachelor’s degree) and the model students. The supervision includes recruitment, interview, daily communication and management, training and evaluation.
3、Monitor and evaluate student behaviors, and coach the students to develop a independent and healthy life by setting up the related policies and procedures.
4、In terms of emergencies, such as fire, illness or violation, design the contingency plans, and provide the students with relevant trainings in order to respond to the crisis.
5、Monitor all the facilities and ensure they are in a healthy and safe condition (in terms of fire prevention and security) by collaborating with the integrated facilities management departments.
6、Serving as a liaison between Residence Programme and other school operations, collaborate closely with other related departments by effective communications and data consolidation.
7、Other supporting tasks as assigned.

Eligibility

1、A bachelor’s degree and excellent written and spoken English are required.
2、Student management experience or teaching experience is essential.
3、Excellent communication skill and sense of responsibility are expected.
4、A strong willing to work in Education industry is preferred.
