JOB SUMMARY:
The Mechanics Sourcing team is responsible for the sourcing and procurement of the mechanics material used in beats’ products. The role of purchasing manager is to responsible for the material sourcing activities of a product from its development phase, to mass production till its end of life. This includes all commercial responsibility such as price negotiation and agreement, capacity, quality and delivery capability from its suppliers. This role require active collaboration with the Engineering and New Product Introduction teams during the ramp up phase, quality team and cost excellence team during the mass production phase, to ensure smooth supply and continuous cost improvement.

This role would suit a self-motivated, results-oriented individual who is comfortable in a casual, but fast paced, environment. He/she will be locating in Shenzhen or Hong Kong, China, and be able to travel to supplier sites. He/she must possess the necessary skills for the position and have strong written and verbal communication abilities. This position reports to the Manager of Mechanics Sourcing team.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Manage supply capability by close collaboration with suppliers on demand requirement and its forecast. Knowing in detail supplier overall capability in term of technology, quality, loading, 2nd tier supply and resources to ensure its smooth supply. Supply management includes product end-of-life management to minimize material liability.
? Full authority to interface with supplier on supply commitment and all commercial related responsibility.
? Full authority to interface with suppliers on the product mechanics material cost. Manage supplier cost performance by price agreement and negotiation leading to targets. Should cost analysis and continuous cost improvement to ensure cost competitiveness.
? Collaborate with quality team on continuous supplier improvement to elevate supplier capability on delivery and cost performance.
? Ensure real time visibility of supplier capabilities to internal stakeholders.

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
? Proven track record in mechanics related purchasing function, preferably in the consumer electronics market, working with Asian based manufacturers.
? Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, in a fully outsourced supply chain model; setting priorities, identifying and addressing problems, and meeting deadlines.
? Previous experience in a variety of mechanics related manufacturing processes.
? Broad and in-depth knowledge of good manufacturing practices and industry standards
? Ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent tasks
? Excellent problem solving & analytical skills
? Effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills with an ability to overcome language and cultural barriers
? Must be willing to travel as required.
? Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Technology or other relevant field of study (or equivalent experience.)
? Minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity and related discipline.
