JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an team work, independent and experienced sourcing engineer to join a fast paced, start up and growing team in Shenzhen. The role will have responsibility to current and new ODMs for price erosion and projection and applies new prices of Beats assigned components pricing to ODMs pricing quotation. Need to come out with Beats assigned component strategy and work and align closely with Product Development (PD) team to avoid future major problems in product supply and quality
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Had Headset or Speaker or related sourcing experience preferred
? Analyze BOM cost with cost engineer
? Engaging periodical price negotiation with good result
? Engaging with suppliers’ supply chain to identify and develop production improvement, cost reduction opportunities
? Responsible for sub-supplier evaluations and cost investigations involving price, delivery, quality, term, etc. that meet products requirements and year to year cost goals
? Consulted for development of Commodity strategy – supplier selection and contract
? Assist design engineers to select parts that best fit their requirement
? Review Beats assigned components vendors to make sure financial, quality, price and technology best fit for Beats
? Capability to search for new material or components vendors such as tooling vendors, speaker, etc...
? Knowledgeable about cost impact from current material cost, labor cost, competitor information, etc to avoid price increase
? Other duties when assigned by superiors.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
? University degree or higher with a minimum of 5-8 years of working in supply chain / sourcing.
? Fully bilingual in Chinese Mandarin and English.
? Managed over annual +100M USD
? CPIM is plus




? Proactively work with external ODMs/ components suppliers and internal planning, quality, PD team to achieve Beats requirement in Quality, schedule and price
? Self-motivated and confident to take initiative and carry out duties with minimal supervision.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:
? Adheres to all requirements for confidentiality of corporate, finance and R&D information.
? Adheres to direction from management on distribution controls, secure filing and disposal, records retention and storage for contracts and other sensitive materials.
? must have very thorough knowledge of materials (plastic/metal) and processes like injection molding, stamping, machining, painting, surface finishing, water transfer, heat transfer etc

COMPUTER & EQUIPMENT SKILLS:

? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Mastery of Mac OS and Windows applications.
