-Leads all operations throughout the development & commercialization & costing and the production process in close collaboration with materials, laboratory and other support functions of the assigned product team. Responsible for the development of a cohesive team and the development of the individuals within the team
ensures that they are customer focused and customer aware. Promotes a collaborative mutually beneficial working environment with our T1 & T2 suppliers.
-Ensure product is developed to cost targets. Work collaboratively with suppliers to optimize value / cost ratio. Works to reduce complexity through intelligent B.O.M. creation with a focused approach with their HQ counterparts on material selection and consolidation.

-Fosters an environment of collaboration, and builds mutually beneficial relationships between all members of the product teams
includes LO, HQ, factory and tier 2 suppliers.
Operations:
-Works with the ait Senior Manager and the factory product teams to set the direction and create mutually agreed upon roles, responsibilities, accountabilities, goals and objectives that are clear and understood.
-Is an effective barrier manager and makes sure that all cross functional aspects of the team participate in the product process as required, and that team work is a promoted across all boundaries.
-Communicates across all levels of the organization as needed: ensures the team is receiving and passing along appropriate information in a timely manner so that decisions can be made.
-Understands and implements all adidas policies pertaining to the sourcing of footwear product. Is able to use good judgment when to be principle centered vs policy driven.
-Provides a balanced workload for the team
assigns projects for each member that challenges their abilities and helps improve their skill set.
-Provides progress reports that are distributed in a timely manner, and helps to maintain and improve the reporting process.
-Keeps commitments and is responsible to all members of the product process, and is able to go beyond their basic responsibilities in order to satisfy their customer’s needs.
-Is a strong proponent of improving the product transfer process so that the transfer of a product from one factory to the next can happen within minimal or no delay in production timing.
-Facilitate collaboration between factories, development, commercialization and costing to achieve cost target. Ensure cost efficiencies, value/cost ratio and BOM/CBD accuracy.
-Takes an active role in the costing process and works with in conjunction with Lo, and Oc costing leaders to ensure costing processes are followed and that accurate CBD’s are provided in a timely manner as required so that sound product decisions can be made. Ensures that CBD’s match the B.O.M’s so that main material price are correct, yields are correct, mold quantities and costs are accurate. Change requests are correctly and updated in a timely manner.
-Ensure value/cost optimization by providing cost efficient manufacturing ideas and expertise throughout the development and production process.
Personnel (Currently no direct reports, but needs similar characteristics for work with factory team):
-Ensures that the concept of High Performance Work Team is a fundamental competency.
-Holds team and individual accountable for performing tasks and carrying out responsibilities as mutually agreed upon and supports the team and individuals by providing training and information as needed in order to complete assignments that are of high quality and on time.
-Supports the growth of each individual. Knows each individual personal goals and objectives and helps steer them toward projects and training classes that will help them attain their objectives.
-Is a mentor to the team and drives the development of key individuals.
-That they play a key HR role in within their teams and are responsible for helping to attract and retain employees for their teams and adidas.

-Preferably holds a degree in post-secondary discipline (eg. Associates Degree, BA, etc)
-At least six years working in the shoe industry in a technical capacity (strong understanding of footwear manufacturing including pattern engineering, mold-making, grading, materials processing etc.)
-Experience in personnel management.
-Strong leadership skills required
-Fluent in English (Reading, Writing and Listening) , BULATS level 3 or equivalent.
