Essential Job functions (Tasks, duties and responsibilities most important to get the job done)
- Be responsible for daily retail store operations management for Carter’s Beijing stores owned by wholesale partner).
- Lead store teams to generate sales to meet and exceed goals to last year and budget.
- Partner with wholesale partner, merchandising, store development, marketing and VM to identify successes and opportunities in the business.
- Critically analyze key performance indicators and identify behaviors needed to drive top line sales.
- Coach Store Managers to build customer loyalty and ensure each store demonstrates a culture of customer service. - Responsible for leading teams to execute an effective selling culture and delivering a positive customer experience in order to grow top line sales and control expenses.
- Analyze business results and coach Store Managers effectively on the necessary actions to continuously improve results.
- Oversee the business, drive and execute store initiatives according to established timelines and standards and strive for operational excellence.
- Maintain a strong and genuine customer focus, merchandise to company standards and embrace change. - Ensure visual presentation, reactionary merchandising and marketing are to the company standard.
- Ensure merchandising standards are being executed including visual, signage, sales promotions and floor sets as required. - Maintain a Ready all day district that is neat, clean, and organized at all times.
- Cultivate a positive work environment through recognition and motivation.
SUPERVISORY / BUDGETARY / EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY
- Collaborate and partner with wholesale partners, Merchandising, Store development, Marketing and VM.
- Drive Omni-channel, have opportunity working closely with Ecommerce and Marketing. knowledge, skill and ability requirements (minimum competencies required for job performance)
- Be a highly effective communicator and have experience of managing and growing relationships with store managers; Drive relationship building at all regional levels.
- Be capable of working independently under little guidance on several projects simultaneously.
- Consumer/Customer centric, approachable with strong networking and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication skills including influencing and change management.
- Good understanding of industry; in depth understanding of local markets’ consumers, accounts, economic environment and commercial needs.
- Self-motivated, confident, with high sense of responsibility.
- A good teamwork leader/player.
- Workable in written and spoken English.
- Proven business acumen and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. prior work experience and educational requirements.
- Minimum diploma in business or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of store management experiences in retail industry are required, preferably within apparel industry.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced and dynamic start-up environment.
- A high energy, entrepreneurial and professional management record of repeatable successes.
