We are now looking for an office manager for our representative office in dongguan.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Responsible for the personnel. Recruitment, planning, performance follow-up, coaching and motivating the staff.
2. New product development planning and management together with Own brands department in Sweden.
3. This role act as well as Purchase manager for the trading
4. Purchasing project management. Will run a number of own purchase projects.
5. Managing and developing suppliers and relationships
6. Together with Quality department monitoring, managing and developing product quality issues
7. Effective cooperation with other people in the organisation in all aspects of purchasing and sourcing
8. Proactive searching for new and better business opportunities and more competitive suppliers for the company
9. Negotiating of purchasing contracts
10. Cost saving budgeting and targeting
11. Payment terms negotiation, optimisation and management
12. Together with Logistics department monitoring and managing distribution, shipping management
13. Active contribution in achieving the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility objectives
Candidate Specification
Requirements:
? Minimum 8-10 years of Purchase / Sourcing experience from international retail company(ies)
? Undergraduate Degree required
? Home / electronic appliance background is an advantage
? Experience in new product development for business expansion is desired
Personality:
? Self-driven, pro-active, results-oriented with a positive outlook
? Clear focus on high quality and business profit
? Business acumen and commercial flair to seek out new business opportunities
? Strategic ability to identify the most appropriate direction for the business/operation in China
? A natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance
? Flexible, open and transparent with the ability to develop the role according to business and organization’s needs
? Keen for more responsibility and accountability
? Sensible, independent and with lots of initiative
? Mature, credible, and a team worker as well as leader
? Reliable, tolerant, and determined
? Good communicator with all levels of people and from different background and nationality
? Well presented and businesslike
? People person, relates well and able to get on with others and be a team-player
? Language skills: Able to communicate in English both verbal and in written
? Literacy and numeracy: Able to understand profit and loss calculations and basic business finance, e.g., gross margin percentages and calculations, depreciation, capital and revenue expenditure, cash-flow, overheads, etc. Must be a very competent writer of business letters, quotations and proposals
? Management Ability: Though internal staff management is not initially part of the job, responsibility and opportunity could grow depending on the person’s ambition. Some people-management skills, experience and natural ability is an advantage
? Sufficiently mobile and flexible to travel in China and occasionally to Sweden
