Good understanding of Semiconductor IC Manufacturing process, as well as prior work experience in one of the following areas - Fab, Assembly/Test process. Effectively drive Foundry, Test and Assembly subcontractors and suppliers to address quality issues in a timely manner. Identify trends, manage projects & influence teams to drive overall reduction in EOS, ppm, 8D cycle time, and return incidents. Conduct supplier assessment and closure of all findings. Lead cross functional team and supply base to contain and prevent quality excursions.
Lead crossfunctional teams (Design, Operations, Failure Analysis, Product/Test Engineering for Customer Returns to drive root cause determination, implement effective containment and corrective actions, and insuring preventive actions are taken to prevent reoccurrence. Ability to motivate others, remain focused and organized. Strong leadership & project management skills. Detailoriented, flexible, and able to work well with others with minimal supervision. Candidate must have experience with HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) semiconductor manufacturing methods, analytical and problem solving skills with strong communication, and presentation skills working in a multicultural environment. Candidate must be able to interface/communicate with crossfunctional and crosscultural teams internally and external suppliers including subcontractors. Experience dealing with supplier quality issues and HVM (High Volume Manufacturing) troubleshooting through problem solving for continuous improvement. Knowledge of latest IC assembly and test processes as well as strong quality systems background.
Required: Bachelor's/Master's, Electrical Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experienced
Additional Details:
Demonstrable understanding of Six Sigma or Lean or similar
Possess analytical and technical skills required.
Must have implemented PPAP and Quality System Improvements in the supply base
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. Able to influence at all levels
Ability to not only identify problems but also take action towards solving them.
Results oriented, driven individual
Proven track record in Supply Base or related areas
Demonstrable achievements in improvements and / or change management
Wide industry knowledge an advantage
Able to successfully manage challenging situations, and generate executive summaries for internal and external customers.
Ability to successfully interact within a quality, engineering, design and manufacturing communities.
Ability to instill confidence in all stakeholder groups and manage complex supply chain relationships
Competencies Needed:
Drive systemic improvements in supplier performance through the application of 8D corrective actions, drill deep and drill wide analyses plus Six Sigma and Lean Tools.
Provide analytical support by monitoring metrics for the customer, management and team, while also creating ad hoc analysis as needed.
ISO 9000 / TS16949 Certified Lead Auditor preferred.
Knowledge of quality tools i.e. process control plan, base line specification, DOE, SPC, MSA, dFMEA, pFMEA and etc.
Demonstrable experience using statistical analysis, Minitab, JMP or equivalent
