DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other projects and duties may be assigned.



To prepare for customer inquiries by studying products application and customer requirements.


To respond to customer inquires by understanding inquiry; reviewing previous inquires and responses; To gather, research, assembly and forward information with various AIMC functional departments.


To develop conceptual designs to facilitate customer integration and application opportunities. To work with salespersons and customer technical personnel to facilitate sale of the product.


Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries. Investigates and resolves manufacturing related quality issues, review and analysis NCR reports for product disposals.


Provides product presentation to qualified customers on request. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests. Emphasizes engineered features and advantages.



QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from a four-year college or university, Engineering (Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology) or other technical discipline;
Minimum ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience;
Design experience of industrial couplings or mechanical power transmission products, in engineered mechanical industry or heavy industries;
Solid 3D CAD experience, Pro-E and finite element analysis experience preferred.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Fluent English language capability in reading, speaking and listening.
The ability to read and interpret documents such as general business periodicals, professional journals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical and procedure manuals and government regulations.
Ability to write routine reports, operating instructions, procedure manuals, and business correspondences.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees and managers, customers, clients and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Solid MS word, spreadsheet, access database capabilities.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
