Aim of this role is to support our customers to develop and design solutions connector application needs. As part of the Design Engineering team, you will apply your technical expertise to design, develop and implement connector solutions for our customers, with special focus on automotive and automation industry applications. 

What you’ll be doing:

• Key tasks include conceptual and detail design, analysis, qualification, testing  and production support including the generation of associated documentation and specification for all product ranges to bring connector concepts into production.
• Work with our Sales and Field Application engineers to help customers solve technical issues by providing appropriate solutions for a wide spectrum of design challenges, and define the technical requirements for the new components and modules.
• Assist in developing test procedures, ensures the delivery of further development steps internally and work out recommendations for a future realization.
• Assist in the communication and documentation of new or updates product components or modules.
• Training for this role will take place over several months either in Singapore or Adelberg, Germany, with the aim to transfer knowledge from our existing R&D teams to build an additional R&D base in China. You will continue to work closely with both of those locations, participate in meetings (mostly online) and collaborate in projects via MS Teams.

 

What we’re looking for:

?              Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Fresh graduates are considered for this role.  

?              Good knowledge in Electrical Design or Mechanical design of components.

?              Knowledge of drafting standards as well as proficiency in the use of 2D drafting CAD system such as AutoCAD and 3D solid modeling CAD system such as SolidWorks or Ansys.

?              You will be in constant collaboration with our global R&D team based in Singapore and Germany, as well as our China colleagues and customers. This requires an international mindset and fluent use Chinese and English language (spoken and written), German language skills are an advantage. Due to our team structure, you should be confident to communicate at all levels internally and externally.
