JOB DESCRIPTION:
As Sarment Direct Sales Manager in Shanghai, the position holder will lead the direct sales activities of the company in Shanghai to support its growth and expansion strategy in Greater China.
S/he will lead the private client sales channel and manage the membership program in Sarment Shanghai. S/he needs to be ambitious and dedicated to private / corporate client development in the Shanghai area. The goal is to lead Sarment’s effort to become a leading and visible player in the premium wine industry in Greater China together with other sales managers.
Team work and trans-regional collaboration with the company’s other teams in Greater China will be a must so as to best contribute to the company’s overall positioning and results.
S/he will report to the Sales Director for Greater China.
The position will entail the following responsibilities:
To service, develop and manage a portfolio of private clients in line with the brand / BD strategy;
Build strong partnerships and close relationships with private clients and corporate clients;
Assist with the development of the Sarment membership scheme, ensure the implementation and liaise with members;
Work with the marketing team to create promotional programs and events;
Be in charge of the financial and administrative integrity of the local private sale budget and order management;
Manage private clients’ sales growth and profitability in line with BU/entity objectives;
Contribute and implement an annual business plan taking into account all levels of growth: commercial agreements, sales actions, education, retail opportunities, profitability, trade terms, etc.;
Monitor the clients’ performance against the business plan and develop alternative strategies when needed;
Communicate critical business information to the appropriate internal contacts for action;
Work with the Sales Director to help devise and develop corporate sales strategies for the company;
Collaboration with the other sales team members and ability to efficiently manage teams.
