REPORTS TO: Director, Supply Chain
Responsible for developing and managing supplier relationships and specific commodities within the region. The Commodity Manager negotiates supplier agreements, monitors performance and acts a primary escalation point for recurring supplier issues.

1. Leads execution of sourcing strategies in the region and undertakes specific cost reduction / supplier performance improvement projects.
2. Regularly reviews supplier performance and works collaboratively with suppliers to drive improvement.
3. Responsible for procurement, inventory, IP and confidentiality agreements for existing suppliers.
4. Facilitates communication between Engineering and suppliers for critical items and those without established supply chain (involves Sourcing Managers as needed).
5. Understand the requirements of all effected business units related to the specific commodity group and supports business units with supplier issues.
6. Supports part qualification process.
7. Develops component cost models, where appropriate, for use by Buyers to calculate pricing of new parts.
8. Develops and communicates forecasts for raw materials.
