Our Client is a leading apparel manufacturer and retailer. For its business expansion, it's seeking a Sourcing Manager for its new stores opening.
Overview
- Responsible for driving Global and Geo retail standards for formats to deliver marketplace transformation across the geography
- Collaborating with Global procurement team in researches, interviews, negotiates with suppliers to obtain prices and specifications.
- Accountable for working cross-functionally to align on marketplace strategies and objectives set against specific needs.
- A brand ambassador and protector.
Responsibilities:

- Strong analytical skill for retail business requirements
- Drive a comprehensive vendor performance review process
- Anticipates risk and challenges and propose to dispose in advance
Business Expertise:
- Expert in various store development resource program and manufacture & engineering process
- Familiar with China national standard concepts, practices, and procedures in retail or consumer goods industry
- Strong quality & inventory management capacity
Delivering Solutions:
- Perceptive business insight for potential risk, provide proper action for solutions
- Manage fixture problems with different functions requirement, ensure store opening with authority& Company’s standards
- Acts as controller for fixture vendor management
Impact:
- Presents structured ideas, navigates potential objections and persuades others to adopt a different point of view through market expertise and retail knowledge
- Develops business or technical rationale that impacts resource allocation, program, project crevice supports or direction
- Makes decisions within general functional, company and industry guidelines
Resource Management:
- Manages sourcing vendors accountable to a company’s brand standard
- Achieve the strategy for fixture project execution
- Responsible for vendor management ensure quarterly site checks
Role in Brand Protection/Promotion:
- Performs work in support of company’s plans; integrates company mission into projects; participates in key initiatives, programs or products with moderate visibility
- Ensures actions protect company business information tightly
- Leads decisions and actions that impact company image and require leadership
Leadership:
- Adapts and adopts global and geo plans and priorities to address local retail, service and operational challenges while maintaining highest level of execution and standards
- Lead sourcing team development and work close with correlative functions
Key Job Accountabilities
- Source fixture, store development material production with company’s quality requirement
- Refine process to ensure seamless execution in marketplace
- Lead and manage fixture inventory with store expansion forecasting and review in monthly, quarterly, annually
- Drive a comprehensive inventory assessment and analysis process across fixture/lighting/flooring/hangers/etc.
- Develop and drive a quarterly vendors door allocation plan
- Analyze, summarize and review fixture delivery status, dig out the problems and with solutions
- Monitor fixture vendor after-sells service and maintenance program
- Price evaluation and negotiation
- Expand and review vendor pool for construction & fixtures
- Sourcing relevant store operations materials, COMPANY’S music, Shopping bag, traffic counter etc.
- Control key project bidding process
- Manage contract review & renew with vendor assessment
- Project management for new concept development
- Support and trouble shoot project and territory teams on fixture delivery or quality problems
- Partners with design operation team for new concept develop and operation in marketplace
- Lead team to ensure driving efficient process, achieving receiving appropriate levels of vendor supports
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Design, Industrial Design & Management Source fixture, store development material production with Company’s quality requirement
- 6 year practical experience in project and/or program management in a retail consumer good industry or purchasing souring position
- Ability to communicate well with multidisciplinary cross functional internal as well as external teams
- Ability to manage different sourcing vendors with company’s standard
- Ability to problem solve and create strategies
- Communication and presentation skills necessary
- Demonstrated logistic & process management for fixture management
- Able to work independently with credibility and integrity
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Proactive, team player, agile
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (English & Chinese)
- Proficient with project management tools (MS Project, Excel)
