Essential Responsibilities 

Provides technical controllership leadership and guidance to both the finance and operations leaders in Power Conversion China.
Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for operational and transactional processes and ensure appropriateInternal Controls are in place, in line with local statutory laws, GE GAP, USGAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 requirements
Maintain the Delegation of Authority and ensure this aligns with the Power Conversion DOA
Drive consistent and effective policies and procedures during monthly/quarterly close process including account reconciliations, account reconciliation audits, GE Corporate Data Request (DR) submissions, representation letters and adjusting entries and ensure that these are completed on time and to corporate standards
Drive annual pre-close, quarterly balance sheet reviews and monthly controllership reviews with key operations and financial management personnel.
Research and advise on complex technical accounting issues including revenue recognition and long term contract accounting
Partner with GE Corporate Audit Staff and Finance Managers for internal GE compliance reviews. Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk.
Drive the simplification of financial processes in the business
Supervise the supply chain finance process in the PC China plants

Qualifications/Requirements 

Proficient in China GAAP; US GAAP desirable; CPA/AICPA/professional qualification preferred University degree in finance or accounting;
At least 6 years' experience in accounting, finance position, worked in an international business
Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and Mandarin for both written and verbal.
Strong ability to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner
Demonstrated ability to liaise with business leaders and colleagues at all levels in cross-functional environment
CAS/FMP graduate preferred

Desired Characteristics

· Certified Public Accountant or Master's of Business Administration is preferred
· Ability to anticipate, identify, and resolve complex financial issues
· Strong oral and written communication skills
· Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
· PC proficiency
