职位描述

Objectives:
To plan and directsales activities in mainland China in order to achieve agreed sales volume,pricing and selling cost objectives by implementing consistently the overallsales strategy, using technical, organizational and customer knowledge. Inaddition, provide inputs and participate in the marketing, market planning andtechnical development of products and services.

Main Tasks:
Implementation of the sales strategies
- Take the responsibility to continuously improve the commercial results of theproduct portfolio according the strategies via product promotion/ introduction,proposals of marketing plans, analysis of and proposal of sales channels,pricing proposals, market analysis to support decision on future productdevelopment strategies.
- Define customer needs and product application to enhanceachievements of sales targets
- Conduct market research via visits, calls,interviews etc. to identify and understand customers’ expectations and needs.Obtain and coordinate data and information from team members and member groups.Develop lists of potential customers after research of the data
- Establish and maintain industry contacts thatlead to sales
- Provide inputs to determine the application ofthe agreed product and service by evaluating product and service marketabilityand customers’ technical needs
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of industrytrends and technical development that effect target markets
- Work with the AE, R&D, customer service and logistics to establish acommunication path with the customer to ensure sales opportunities for productand services.

Customer management
- Maintain direct contact with customers’ keypersonnel and work with customers and internal functions to resolve problems/expedite matters. Handle progressively larger accounts as main sales contactand serve as secondary contact at large accounts to gain knowledge on theseaccounts.
- Work with successful/ efficient sales person tounderstand customers’ profiles/needs/problems.
- Participate in meetings for customer problemresolution; if necessary, work with customer services personnel to deal withproblems, complaints.
- Direct flow of information for sales activitiesad transactions (leads, billings, order, contracts) and evaluate data to ensureassigned sales goals are met

Sales development
- Develop sales and marketing proposals to tracecustomers’ needs on consumption analysis, product/ service performance,technical services needs
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of marketactivities, industry trends and recommend to supervisor modification/ changesof strategies/ practices.
- Make regular sales calls/visits to developprofessional relationship and follow up on needs with the aim to close deals andfinalize contracts

Product promotion
- Deliver and/or participate sales presentations/workshop/ trade road show/ workshops to promote/ introduce products/services

Credit management
- Conclude sales contracts according to companycredit policies and provide customer information as inputs to F&A tosupport revision of credit policies.
- Work closely with the personnel responsible foraccount receivable to ensure that the customers honor the sales contract terms.
- Provide customer credit information for companycredit control function, ensure timely payment of receivables to meetestablished sales targets and revenue goals.

Market intelligence
- Withthe coordination with global marketing manager to obtain, update, maintain and evaluate market trends, theapplication of products/technology, the service needs, intelligence oncompetitors, etc in order to identify new business opportunities.

People management
- Support the employee development in the team byparticipation in employee recruitment, training and development, resolvediscipline and grievance. Consultation with Human Resources function asappropriate.
- Provide skills and expertise to enhance theperformance of the sales team by coaching subordinates,providing exposure, development opportunities

Requirements:

- Education:
Bachelor degree and above, major in business related, chemistry, engineering

- Working Experience:
At least 10years experience in dealing with local Chinese customers and also foreign enterprises, thereof, at least 2years in leadership role.

- Technical & Professional Knowledge:
1. Strong leadership, particularly for virtual team.
2. Demonstrated strategic thinking ability and demonstrated ability to implement business plans.
3. Must be willing and able to travel over 50% of the time.
4. Fluent spoken and written English skills.
5. Motorcycle industry knowledge is preferred.
