职位描述

General Manager
The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall lead an Fulfillment Center (FC) operation which includes inbound arrival, receiving, stowing, storage and outbound picking, sorting packaging etc. The challenge must be manage the multifarious and difference size items of inventory and ship customer order in one flow line within several hours. Speed and veracity are key measurement.
The role will manage the biggest FC in China, he lead some Operation Managers and Senior Area Managers to be in charge of different operation areas like inbound/outbound/books/general merchandise/etc. Set up clear goals and objective and drive the execution, weekly review the FC and team performance, include safety, on time delivery, productivity, inventory accuracy, customer satisfaction etc, also work close with support function departments like Quality Control, Process Engineering, Facilities, and Safety & Loss Prevention, Finance, HR etc.
The incumbent is accountable for the stewardship of the entire Fulfillment Center and is charged with full authority to ensure a predictable and consistent operation.
The function comprises the management, control and direction of Inbound and Outbound distribution operations. The General Manager Operations will work to continuously improve the functionality and level of service that the China FCs provide to our customers resulting in exceeded productivity goals and the delivery to our customer promise.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
1) Manage and drive staffing plans, schedules, quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and other Change/ Lean initiatives to enable Operations and ultimately the FC to attain Business Plan
2) Manage a team of up to 1500+ employees within a very fast-paced/time-critical and demanding environment
3) Set/clarify requirements and expectations for Operations Managers, Senior Area Managers, Area Managers and Team Leaders
4) Leverage off Operations, Area Managers, and Team Leaders to source and nurture ideas and roll them into the creation of improvement plans for the FC
5) Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are shared across all departments and shifts
6) With the senior management team regularly review manager performance levels to continuously improve strategies
7) Work closely with support function (HR, Finance, Safety & Loss Prevention Manager, IT Manager) to build and secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
8) Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and procedures
9) Maintain a complete management overview and thorough understanding of inventory in a multi-product manual process environment
10) Implements change and/or develop new processes as required to provide ability to better ship multiple products to multiple locations
11) Continuously measure and evaluate the departmental goals and all work processes
Generate a positive employee relations environment which respects and retains good performers and values their contribution
1) Recommend, develop and implement policies and programs that guide the FC in monitoring and improving its competitive position and profitability of the operation
2) Manage and promote maintenance of the working environment, health and safety standards. Ensure security procedures are followed at all times
3) Achieve stock accuracy targets, improve quality and eliminate errors metrics daily&Manage and report
Relationships:
1) Reports to the CN Fulfillment Director
2) Works closely with the other CN General Managers, Operations Managers, Area Managers and the wider global operation
3) Supplier relationships - existing and as required new

Experience/Skills:
1) At least 6 years Operations team leadership experience (manufacturing, production or distribution environments)
2) At least 3 years in a General Manager or Senior Operations Manager role within fast paced logistics, production or manufacturing environments
3) Goal driven, target orientated, able to step back and look at the bigger picture (helicopter view), the person will also be able to manage ambiguity with their sleeves rolled up, and posses a preparedness to get involved
4) Demonstrate strong track record of team leadership within a large scale rapid and process driven environment
5) Demonstrate a strong track record of problem solving and very strong analytical skill capability as he/ she will is required to look at and find solutions for a variety of operations problems. Look at the difficulty - and fix it. Good timely decisions will need to be made on a regular basis. There is rarely time for a committee decision, the individual will have to be prepared to take on responsibility for his/her actions
6) Excellent communication skills (English and Chinese written and verbal)
7) High dependability - be there to manage Department
8) Must be flexible and able to manage a business that can operate 24/7 (including holidays) and commit the time required to get the job done.
9) Demonstrate ability to manage, motivate, and influence work behaviors.
10) Practiced working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma(preferred Lean Champion or Black Belt qualified).
Track record of:
1) managing systems and processes and able to effectively use systems and processes to measure, monitor, and manage or impact performance
2) improving processes and building scalability
3) Candidates will be degree qualified in Operations, Engineering, Logistic or similar. An MBA would also be advantageous.
