Accountabilities

  

    

§  Monitor political and media developments at Zone/Country level and interact with decision makers, putting forward AB InBev’s positions.

  

§  Monitor activities of supranational organizations and engage in ZX decision making processes.

  

§  Integrate Corporate Affairs’ role into the overall senior management and collaborate with others in order to achieve common goals in support of the business.

  

§  Lend coordinated support to the Business function in connection with projects.

  

§  Support senior management in preparing for high-profile appearances before regulatory, media or industry bodies.

  

§  Interact with Corporate Technical functions to develop coordinated approaches to product-related issues

  

§  Be responsible for crisis management, provide efficient support in case of “urgent” or “critical” requests from authorities, consumers, stakeholders, etc.

  

§  Give input to the development of company Corporate Social Responsibility and media relations programs, and find ways of communicating it effectively to key stakeholders in order to help build the Company’s reputation.

  

§  Leverage zone government and media contacts.

  

§  Manage the Corporate Affairs issues within APAC North, ensuring outputs reflect the requirements of the overall Communications strategy.

  

§  Disseminate best practices across the ZX global.

  

§  Providing the personnel development necessary to enhance performance and knowledge of Corporate Affairs practice. Perform the appraisal process regularly for direct reports to manage individual performance and career aspirations.

§  Work with brand team to ensure that strategic brand campaigns are delivered effectively and driving brand awareness and engagement.

§  Support ZX’s business objectives by helping to build great brands and drive growth in strategic markets through effective brand PR, corporate PR and digital communication.

Qualifications and Technical competencies required

    

Education:

  

§    University degree or equivalent

  

 

  

Experience:

  

§    Approximately 5 years and above of experience in Public/Corporate Affairs, preferably with more than one (multinational) company.

  

 

  

Technical competencies: (Job related)

  

§    True professional, abreast of all relevant developments in the field.

  

§    Experienced in dealing with high/medium level contacts in the regulatory, governmental and media environments.

  

§    Fluent English and Chinese communication skills; presentational, verbal and written; additional languages.

  

§    Excellent interpersonal, diplomatic and persuasive skills – able to achieve consensus and buy-in, successful negotiator, good networker.

  

§    Strong project management and organizational skills.

  

§    Experienced in managing and supervising the activities of external consultants.

  

§    Genuine team-player; able to see how Corporate Affairs fits into and support the overall operations of the Company.

  

§    High level of self-motivation and proactive; able to work with minimum supervision.

  

§    Cool under pressure and able to manage sensitive issues.

  

§    Self-motivated, driven by pursuit of excellence.
