• Manage testing conducted in the following lab areas -endurance and certification lab.

• Identify future test needs and equipment. Develop implementation strategies for next generation test capabilities.

• Understands and communicates specific test requirements.

• Understands specific testing requirements for engine development and design validation testing.

• Coaches and mentors' technicians on proper test techniques, procedures and best practices.

• Adhere to outlined test procedures & practices for emissions development & certification testing.

• Work closely with US - Kohler, WI lab team to ensure appropriate testing protocols are followed.

• Ensure certification & Compliance of emissions equipment, testing equipment and consumable with appropriate regulations such as 40 CFR PART 1065, 1054 and equivalent Europe & China emissions regulations.

• Lead all the testing & review of data for Kohler gasoline engines at China emissions lab.

• Strategize emissions lab to produce China certification data in Kohler, China lab.

• Must be a self-starter that can work independently to complete tasks with high level of complexity with minimal direction.

• Demonstrated ability to identify and assess risks and seek guidance from responsible individual.

• Demonstrated ability to negotiate within and outside Kohler organization, specifically regulatory agencies.

• Drive process and procedures improvements as needed for emissions & endurance lab.

• Requires up to 5% travel.
  

技能/要求

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program required. Master's degree preferred.

• 6 or more years of experience.

• Experience with Emissions Regulations.

• Experience with Emissions Testing & associated equipment is required.

• Supervisory experience with salaried and hourly associates is preferred.

• Demonstrable strength and interest in test technology, computer hardware and software

• Ability to apply engineering principles and the scientific method.

• Strong mechanical and electronic aptitude necessary.

• Product development lab experience and/or Engine test lab experience is strongly preferred.

• Fluency in English verbal and written language is required.
