JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title
QUALITY ENGINEER
Direct Report and hierarchy
Supply Chain Manager
Dotted line report with Quality Manager -
Work in team with Supply Chain Manager - China
Other roles coordinated:
None
Main tasks and jobs
Quality Engineer, operating in team with Chinese Supply Chain Manager operating in accordance with Company guidelines, will grants quality of parts materials, components and products supplied by Chinese and near countries suppliers, over the whole supply chain.
To perform his tasks he / she will:
? Grants the suppliers right job execution under quality point of view
? Became the suppliers point of reference for quality matters
? Check the supplier order confirmations in conformity of purchase orders
? Preliminary check the supplier Inspection and Test Plan (IPT) in conformity of specifications
? Management and communication of non conformity to Italian Quality Dept.
? Suggestion and implementation of corrective actions regarding parts, components and products manufacturing process
? Quality audit, inspection and certification to supplier premises
? NDT test and controls certification and transmission of the documentation to Italian Quality Dept.
? Planning and support of customers' audits and inspections
? Final visit report issuing to Quality Dept. in order to allow to issue the material delivery release.
JOB PROFILE
Technical skills and know how
Our Quality Engineer has mechanical skills (High school or Engineering degree), good materials knowledge and he's available to travel in order to visit suppliers' premises.
Moreover he posses:
? Knowledge of purchasing principles
? Fluent or at least good written and spoken English language
? Pc, word and excel knowledge
? Previous experience in quality for similar roles and in similar business
? Second level certified for NDT test and controls (VT, PT, MT, UT e RT; regarding RT at least X-ray reading skill)
? Knowledge of ASME, API, ATEX and PED regulations
Relational skills
? Problem solver
? Proactive
? Target and results oriented
? Team worker
? Learning motivated
