Job Responsiblites:

Analyze the material requirement to support the business unit of DCS-Service with material on stock.

Develop a list of required material starting from forecasts, market indication from sales, past history, feedback from production departments.

Coordinates with the Logistics Department in order to maintain and run MRP timely and in general to manage the material on stock effectively.

Understands and coordinates the flow of components in stock, both physical and in the operating system, through the several steps of transformation.

Coordinates with the Project Managers and Purchasing Department the material requirement plan to the suppliers and follows up delivery, gets delivery confirmations, works on the possible differences and delays.

Closely work with Project managers, Logistics, Production and Purchasing for plan adjustments according to demand change

Keep reasonable stock level according to group strategies and minimize logistics cost

Work closely with internal functions, in China and in Italy, to coordinate the information flow about supply and demand of components
Provide necessary periodical (weekly, monthly) reports like inventory analysis and other management tool to the management and the team in order to solve issues and bring improvements

Continuous communications with the team members of the Business Unit, the Plant, the Headquarter and other Danieli entities.



The job should focus for the first year on:

Stabilizing the material supply for 3 product families: Danoil, rolls, guides.
Setup a process for good management of stock material for refurbishment and after-sales
In a second phase, will have goals of inventory reduction, will manage strategy of obsolescence and slow-moving

After this, the job could get additional complexity with the introduction of new products or the growth of the existing ones, or evolve into responsibility roles in the Logistics department.



Job Requirements:

Experience in materials planning, preferably in mechanical industry with internal manufacturing.

Ability to analyze orders / forecasts and develop a material replenishment plan

Understanding of MRP system (safety stocks, minimum order quantities, frequency of planning, etc)

Must be able to understand and balance the requirements and priorities of different departments

Ideally, he/she has already successfully performed the planning and implementation of material management strategies

Excellent communications skills to move confidently in the DCS structure, to deal with the other departments and other foreign Danieli entities

Previous experience with complex operating systems (SAP, Oracle, Factory Planner) > 1 year

Good English knowledge

Good knowledge of OFFICE Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
