JOB SUMMARY:
Participate within a team environment to accomplish a high level of service to senior management and the business units in guiding financial planning direction, for short and long term planning horizons.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

? Maintain accounting records in accordance to US GAAP and China Accounting Standards
? Maintain reconciliation worksheet to explain any difference between the 2 sets of accounts
? Prepare and/or review all journal entries for book keeping, including update and data entry to accounting system
? Prepare and/or review monthly accounting reports, accounting schedules and financial statements (e.g. trial balance, income statements, balance sheet, budget analysis and overhead variance reports, fixed asset register, depreciation worksheets, Foreign exchange gain/loss worksheet, VAT reconciliation etc )
? Management reporting: Formulate annual budgets as well as prepare monthly expense forecast, financial analysis, and ad hoc reports as per the business need
? Prepare and monitor monthly cash flow to ensure smooth business operation, including reconciliation of bank statements to accounting records
? Review all monthly breakdown/reconciliation schedules, such as: Fixed Assets register, prepaid expenses, deposit, payables, and receivables.
? Ensure accounts and documents are kept strictly in compliance with China accounting standards and regulation
? To ensure high standards of financial controls and reporting
? Ensure compliance to corporate policies and procedures as well as international accounting standards.
? To provide value add input in the development and implementation of good operational and financial systems and to ensure all necessary controls are put in place.
? Liaise with Tax departments, government department, banks, vendors, corporate Treasury to enable efficient and smooth business operation
? Be responsible for preparing / reviewing / submission statutory reports: i.e.: periodically and annual statistic reports, Value Added Tax (VAT) returns, Personal Income Tax Report (PIT), Corporate Income Tax (CIT) return, Foreign Contractor Withholding Tax (FCWT), invoice issuing report, financial statements for audit purpose.
? Update Government decrees, circulars on VAT, CIT, PIT, FCWT, and Social Insurance/ Health Insurance/ Unemployment Insurance (SI/ HI/ UI)
? Work and liaise with tax authorities, auditors, outsourced service provider (accounting, tax, payroll)
? Supervise the accounting functions of other offices within China pertaining to above matters.
? Liaise and consult with Regional Senior Finance Manager in reporting and providing financial information accurately and ensuring corporate policies and procedures are followed

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:

? Candidate must have a Finance or accounting degree with at least 5 years experience
? Possess the relevant license or permit for performing accounting work in China
? Familiar with cost centre accounting and common cost allocation by department
? Experience in managing multiple accounting offices within China
? Experience in HQ reporting to foreign parent company
? Familiar with cross border transactions
? Good command of English (spoken and written)
? Solid written and verbal communication skills
? Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet functionality, and PowerPoint
? Willingness to travel within China to visit branch offices
? Willingness to travel international for business trip.
