As a member of the Support Team, the Plant Engineer / Plant Automation Engineer is responsible for the technical availability and optimization of the assigned buildings, production plants and infrastructure and will need to fulfill all internal and regulatory requirements and bear operational guidelines and goals in mind. He/she is supported by the nominated LSC Engineering Coordinator.

1) Serves as a technical partner for the Head LSC.
2) Ensures the technical availability of the assigned plants, building infrastructures, and buildings cost-efficiently and within the defined limits, utilizing the maintenance database and the business processes related to it.
3) Represents the LSC concerning technical matters when investment projects and plant enlargements arise; this includes drawing up URS, transferring procedural know-how, knowledge of the plants, accompanying projects, defining the PM strategy and PM measures, and conducting final inspections and approvals for transfers, incl. documentation.
4) Serves as project manager regarding the planning and completion of internal projects within the LSC concerning plants and buildings.
5) Optimizes and supports the LSC in optimizing their procedures.
6) Ensures the compliance (GMP, HSE) of plants and buildings by implementing and adhering to quality standards and maintains the status of qualification by means of Change Control and other measures. Represents the assigned plants and buildings during inspections
7) Coordinates the local craftsmen
8) Prepares or supports the preparation of the budget and ensures cost control regarding the R&M costs of the assigned plants and buildings.
9) Ensures that the overriding requirements issued by the Global Supply Center are complied with / implemented (matrix function).
10) Whenever there are unclear factual or technical issues, the LSC Engineering Coordinator will decide.
