Responsibilities:

1. Communication and liaison with the business process owners to identify specific issues affecting business performance and work with departmental and cross-functional teams to develop permanent solutions to each failure mode.
2. To liaise with and manage the customer interface on issues relating to quality, customer service and efficiency
3. Manage the day-to-day activities of the QA team, providing on-going coaching and mentoring support to ensure that QA activities of individuals are delivered in line with planned dates.
4. Develop, implement and manage process performance measurement systems to identify areas where process improvement activities are required and where to prioritise QA resource effectively.
5. Conduct detailed statistical analysis on business performance against the key areas of Right First Time Quality, Process Capability, Cost of non-quality, Customer Service, Delivery, Lead Time and Process Efficiency (Value Added / Non-Value Added Flow Analysis).
6. Provide Training, Coaching and Mentoring of staff at all levels within the organisation on quality tools.
7. Work with the business to identify opportunities for improvement and assign the necessary resource to support the business in delivering benefits.
8. Develop and implement effective Process Management systems via the use of Process Control Plans, Standard Operations and standardisation, mistake proofing, 5S and Visual Management techniques.
9. Support the procurement and supplier development functions through the on-going provision of coaching and mentoring for Supplier Development Engineers in QA, Best Practice, Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
10.Support the QA Director in the on-going development of the QA Strategy as the business requirements change over time.
11.Ensure that the business not only maintains its accreditation to be EN ISO 9001 but develops a method of working within the standard to deliver real tangible value back to the organisation.
12.Lead, educate, inspire and mobilise the business to be passionate about quality of product/service.
13.Facilitation of improvement meetings at all levels including Problem solving, Kaizen Events, Shop Floor ANDON reviews, customer visits and improvement workshops
14.Keep abreast of new and emerging technologies, methods and thinking in the field of Continuous Improvement to ensure the continued application of best practice

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 5 years experience in a senior Quality assurance role in production company
2. Deep knowledge and understanding of QA techniques including lean production, Six Sigma, 5S, 8D-report, 5W, Ishikawa diagram, SPC, FMEA, control plan.
3. Deep knowledge and understanding of quality systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001
4. Experienced Project Manager on several process improvement projects in both manufacturing and transactional environments with cross functional and cross geographic teams
5. Lean Six Sigma Master / Black Belt certification beneficial
6. Good knowledge and technical skills in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, Project and Visio
7. Knowledge and technical skills in the use of statistical software i.e, Minitab.
