Responsibilities:

1. On time delivery of:

a. Bill of materials in accordance with production schedule
b. Production processes, taking account of material requirements, production times and engineering change requests.
c. Prescribe tool and jig requirements for the production process.
d. Jig designs and tool specifications.

2. Contribute to root cause analysis, non-conformity reporting and PFMEA procedures as directed by the Technical Manager.
3. Ensure all engineering documents and processes are updated in response to changes agreed through the Design Authority.
4. Provide support for engineering and other departments to produce cost and time estimates for processes and products.
5. Provide proactive support to production including investigation and resolution of operational problems and concerns.
6. Continuously identify and deliver process improvements in existing processes through the elimination of waste and application of Lean methodologies.
7. Provide interpretation of drawings in accordance with project specifications’
8. Cooperation on ongoing project activities.
9. Collaborate as appropriate when creating documents for supply and demand.
10. Cooperate with other workers from the departments of the company.
11. Work with ERP system Baan and other databases used in the company.
12. Create, translate and handle documents for internal regulations, operating instructions, etc.
13. All activities carried out according to the applicable directives and regulations.

Requirements:
1. Significant relevant experience in an engineering environment or Degree with experience in mechanical engineering or production engineering
2. Experience working in a similar role at large rotating machinery Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) desirable.
3. Contribution to Improvement processes with personal experience of delivering Lean methodologies
4. Proven track record in effective application of problem solving techniques, including root cause analysis, PFMEA desirable.
5. Knowledge of the mechanical design, manufacture and testing of HV rotating machinery and technologies. Lamination production, stator core building and assembly of large rotating machinery desirable.
6. Significant experience of material composition, performance, fabrication and welding.
7. Knowledge of design techniques, tools, methodologies, procedures etc. utilised within the design and manufacture of associated equipment in the production environment.
8. Computer literate, specifically: Word, Excel, 2D / 3D CAD, or similar design software.
