BODY-SHOP AREA MANAGER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Scope

• Provides overall shop leadership, including production, manufacturing engineering, internal logistics and quality.
• Leads organizational/cultural development of the shop (hiring, training, coaching, teaching) and is the key driver to lean implementation. Ensures a "leaders as teachers/learning environment" culture is developed
• Assures successful launch of the new Body-Shop and product programs
• Assures business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including People, Safety, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and Environmental Initiatives
• Responsible for maintenance, scheduling, reporting, people training and development

Skill and Experience Required

• Candidate must have held similar position in body-shop at another automotive OEM for at least 3-5 years
• Candidate must have in depth lean manufacturing 'working knowledge' with a track record of successful implementation
• Candidate having previous major project and Greenfield start up implementation is preferred
• Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
• Candidate must have some English speaking ability. Excellent English is preferred
• Candidate must have team oriented leadership skills
• Candidate must have a Bachelor/Master degree. Engineering preferred
