· Manage the day-to-day activities of a team of engineers and technicians who design manufacturing processes and specifications that will improve the efficiency and productivity of the organisation’s manufacturing operations.

· Evaluate the recommendations of engineers to ensure they are accurate and consistent with the organisation’s short-term production plans. Lead the most complex, large, or difficult process engineering projects and develop innovative approaches to production problems.

· Contribute to the development of operating budgets for the process engineering unit.

· Monitor industry trends, and developments in engineering technology; evaluate and recommend investments in equipment, systems, or other assets that will improve the organisation’s production capabilities.

· Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop engineering staff to ensure their work meets established targets and standards.
