ROBOT & PLC PRINCIPAL ENGINEER



JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Scope


Responsible for overall robot, plc and software set-up and performance in the body-shop.
Supports and assures successful launch of the new Body-Shop
Assures body-shop business objectives are met or exceeded in all areas including People, Safety, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost and Environmental Initiatives
Supports manufacturing in achieving their business objectives
Perform body-Shop automation planning and process analysis, welding robot studies
Coordinate and solve robot & automation related technical issues
Lead continuous improvement of automatic systems
Prepare and lead training of people for automatic systems


Skill and Experience Required

Candidate must have held similar position in body-shop at another automotive OEM for at least 3-5 years
Candidate must have in depth knowlwedge of controls, robots and PLC software, including standardization
Proficiency with office / Autocad / Eplan software
Candidate having previous major project and Greenfield start up implementation is preferred
Candidate must have excellent communication skills.
Candidate must have some English speaking ability.
Candidate must have team oriented leadership skills
Candidate must have a Bachelor/Master degree. Engineering preferred
