Direct report to: Purchasing Manager, China

Role purposes:
Work closely with the new business growth teams and provide purchasing support by identifying suppliers, making sourcing recommendations, continuing to ensure the material pricing matches the design, product and program with competiveness.

Responsibilities:
1. Implements the purchasing strategy for his/her commodity, mainly mechanism and metal products
2. Define the saving target according to the purchasing strategy and global budget objectives for his/her commodity, follow up with action plan to implement saving timely year by year.
3. Sourcing the suppliers in order to optimize supply base for his/her commodity, including supplier sourcing, RFQ, accurate detail cost analysis, strong negotiation skill and timely contract management, sample building, ensure timely delivery before fully PPAP approval.
4. Set up supplier performance KPI and quarterly make the assessment with cross-function team in the area of quality/cost/delivery/financial sustainability, follow up the improve action plan to hit target score.
5. Support program sourcing for his/her commodity and achieve cost target in time especially for urgent quote.
6. Draws up and implements the sourcing action plan for his/her commodity in line with cost budget objectives and using all levers, present and maintain the cost structure regularly, develop and maintain the supplier base, closely observe the trend of accountable commodity in mark that not only limit to finish part but also raw material, ensure the commodity purchase is competitive in market, report KPI monthly for his/her commodity.
7. Highly coordinate with plant for supplier management. Team work spirit is a must quality.
8. Must follow with company employee manual, and comply with professional ethic and integrity, follow with company core value.
9. Handles purchasing administration affairs (changing management, supplier files, component files, etc.)
10. Other works assigned by Manager

Qualifications：

Essential: bachelor in Mechanical Engineering Business Management, Procurement or relevant discipline
Desirable: master studies in Procurement, Engineering, Management or related discipline

Experience：

1. 5+ years experience and working knowledge of managing a Procurement Function
2. Preferred - Experience in a similar role in auto parts industry, familiar with mechanism and metal purchasing.
3. Proven Supplier Management across a large scale MNC operation
4. Proven customer service and financial orientation

Skills & Knowledge：

1. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office
2. Effective communication skills
3. Strong negotiation skills
4. Strong Leadership Skills
5. Worksafe and Quality Systems
6. Good English in writing and speaking
7. Strong commercial sense and good cost analysis capability
