HFT Shanghai Co., Ltd. is a Halma ( http://www.halma.com/ ) company that supports Halma’s Fluid Technology Division, which consists of 5 subsidiary companies in the U.S making critical components/devices such as valves & pumps, probes & connectors, gas sample conditioning devices and mass flow meters etc. These products are widely used by scientific, environmental, medical and industry instrument manufacturers for demanding fluid handling applications.
HFT Shanghai Co., Ltd. is on a steep growth path as a result of new products being produced by this manfacturing center. We require the expertise and leadership of this position with a proven-track-record in related-industries to achieve business & operations excellence.
Job Summary: The Finance Director is directly responsible and accountable for all aspects of Finance, Accounting, IT and Office Administration as well as customer care at HFT Shanghai Co., Ltd. As a member of the Executive committee, assists in strategic management of the company on issues related to all facets of the business (Sales, Operations, Quality, and Finance) and is responsible for consistent growth and cost control in business and operations. Ensure compliance with Halma policy, government statutes and ethical practices.
Reports to : Managing Director
As a member of the Board of Directors this person will also report to the Chairman of HFT Shanghai Co., Ltd.
Responsibilities
1. Coordinate annual business planning and budgeting process, including driving implementation, monitoring and advising on adjustment, while aligning with management to ensure realization of corporate and financial objectives
2. Provide periodic budget reports to the company and to budget holders, working closely with them to enable them to make accurate decisions
3. To set up, implement and maintain the Company’s financial and accounting systems in accordance with the Group Procedures and Accounting Procedures
4. Responsible for both business and operations individual and consolidated financial statements in accordance with international accounting standards.
5. Plan and implement efficient tax planning and provide periodic tax reports for national and local tax bureau in line with state tax laws and regulations
6. Ensure that all accounting work/transactions, costing, G/L, A/P, A/R, cash and assets are properly
controlled and reported in compliance with the company’s rules and policies.
7. Manage the cash flow and advise management on appropriate actions to minimize working capital.
8. Maintain effective financial support to all business units and review payments and vouchers with proper consideration as well as conduct financial reviews and handle month-end closing.
9. Analyze and present financial data and recommend solution to improve operations system and financial performance
10. Be responsible for project evaluation of investment opportunities by providing value-added decision support to Management
11. Develop and update the company finance and control policies, procedures, and system, in line with best practices and local practices and regulatory requirements.
12. Ensure different departments and employees are in compliance with finance regulations as well as
import/export regulations
13. Lead customer care group for customer order handling and delivery to customers with close
connection to each business unit’s sales teams
14. Be responsible for supervising IT and administrative activities in HFT business and operations
Special expertise
1. Management, reporting and control of selling prices in China, and maximization of price opportunity
2. Interpretation of monthly HFT operations performance – sales, cost and margin. Identification of issues and trends, resolution with owners
3. Provision of business and operations and product profitability analysis
People and Team Management
Developing the team's strengths, setting targets and objectives, dealing with conflicts and difficult situations
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in a related field will be an advantage.
2. Qualification as CPA or equivalent and expert on both PRC GAAP and IFRS accounting rule
3. Legal experience especially corporate law, tax law, contract law and import/export regulation would be helpful
4. At least 8 years work experience at the managerial level in an international environment.
5. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial report, statements and projections, working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, rolling budgets, and profitability analysis
6. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight time frames and simultaneously manage several projects
7. Conflict management ability and being able to work under pressure and to tight schedules.
8. A good team player with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
9. Good command of English, both spoken and written
10. Strong computer skills and ERP system experiences
