Job Summary

Leads staff in the maintenance and preparation of ledgers, journals and financial statements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

- Review account reconciliations, accruals and financial statements for reasonableness and compliance with accounting principles

- Challenge unsubstantiated balances and ensures problems are resolved

- Analyze and prepares reports as required

- Process blue shipper returns for inventory and MRO returns

- Research negative receipts on GRIR

- Research vendors with a debit balance

- Research Z73 blue shippers not processed

- Research vendor debit discrepancies for returned material

- Review credit memos

- Complete auditor confirmations

- Complete certificate of resale

- Complete credit references

- Review coding on invoices

- Answer questions from accounts payable clerks

- Assist clerks with vendor account reconciliation as needed

Education & Experience Requirements

- Bachelor's degree and/OR 2 to 4 years of progressive accounting experience OR equivalent formal training in related duties

- General knowledge of accounting principles, company and federal regulations
