Young Potential Program
With a massive expansion plan for the next 5 coming years, IKEA Retail China is looking for more young talents to join in and be part of this; especially for, in a longer-term perspective, potentials who can fill in management and key positions.
The Young Potential (YP) program provides a key channel to develop our future specialists and leaders. It is a very inspiring career development project for high potential and young talent people!
Every YP will get one-on-one, face-to-face coaching and feedback from their IKEA store steering group member or the like. The YPs will grow in their roles to become qualified team leaders or functional experts in 18 months time through systematic trainings and taking challenging responsibilities or projects in IKEA.
After this initial period of 18 months, the acceleration towards becoming a store steering group member within the following 3 years should take place.
IKEA doesn't limit itself to your background and majors. If you are well-suited for IKEA's culture and values, have a great interest in retailing and life at home and dare to be yourself, then this might just be for you!
CRITERIA:
*You have 1-2 years working experience, preferably, in retail
*You have a genuine interest in retailing and enjoy working with customers
*You are eager to learn and initiatively take responsibilities
*You can learn from both success and mistakes
*You have a good English level, spoken and written
*You are fully mobile (domestic)
YOUR ASSIGNMENT
My priority is to ensure our customers consistently enjoy a positive and successful shopping experience.
I optimise the relationship with our customers in order to increase customer satisfaction thereby driving sales growth and sustained long-term profitability.
Through my own example, I actively work to secure the IKEA culture by maintaining specific focus on togetherness, simplicity, constantly being on the way, cost consciousness and accepting and delegating responsibility
I know the Customer Relations action plan and support the goals and targets given to me by my manager, which ensures the effective execution of our action plan.
YOUR PROFILE:
Your knowledge, skills and experience include:
Self-reliant and motivated with a proven ability to work as part of a larger team.
Ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of the time available.
Ability to plan staffing needs according to the customer flow.
Experience of actively meeting customer needs through understanding customers in a service industry.
Emotional resilience and ability to handle conflict (assertive and able to remain calm when confronted with challenging situations).
Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust the style of communication to get the message across to the receiver
