Web / Electronic Media Specialist
Responsible for keeping the FLIR Commercial Systems website up to date and make sure that FLIR Systems ranks first on major search engines in China. Primarily in Baidu.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.In cooperation with the Corporate webmaster, take all the necessary Search Engine Optimization (SEO) actions so that the FLIR Commercial Systems site ranks first on major search engines in China

2.Set up Baidu campaigns, the local Google, in Chinese

3. Increase FLIR presence and awareness for thermal imaging in Chinese equivalent of Twitter (Sina Weibo), YouTube (Youku and Toudu), Facebook (Renren), Amazon (Taubau), …

4. Initiate and maintain Chinese blogs for all 14 vertical markets segments. Potential Chinese users of thermal imaging cameras rely more on blogs than US or EMEA potential customers.

5. Turn the FLIR Commercial Vision websites into a real lead generation tool in China

6. Strongly involved in the set-up and maintenance of the FLIR e-commerce section of the website.

7. Create banners, Flash movies, e-mailings for both internal and external use in Chinese.

8. Within the existing CMS system and within the frame set by Corporate marketing, keep the FLIR
Commercial Systems websites up-to-date in Chinese.

9. Create local Chinese mini-sites when needed


Required skills

- Extremely good knowledge of organic Search Engine Optimization techniques
- Extremely good knowledge of Baidu mechanism and strategies
- Extremely familiar with Chinese versions of Youtube, Facebook, …
- Able to create blogs
- Able to create detailed monthly reports about SEO, web statistics, goal conversions, …
- Able to work within an existing CMS system. Knowledge of Ektron is an asset
- Knowledge of HTML is a plus
- Able to create e-mailings, banners, …
- Able to work independently and respect deadlines
- Fluent in English is a must.
