Sales Territory: Southern China Region
Reporting lines: This position will report to Longer Pump’s Area Sales Manager and management team based in Baoding, and will enjoy a dot line report to the Business Development Director of Halma Fluid Technology Division
Job Description:
The role is expected:
1. To develop relationships with the existing OEM accounts, aimed to generate more sales revenue and add-on businesses. This means to proactively identify customers’ latest requirements and promote Longer Pump’s offering and solutions.
2. To support the existing distributors through product training and appropriate marketing efforts, to drive the distributors performance.
3. To work very closely with the targeted OEM prospects, essentially it is to work with the prospects’ R&D teams to promote Longer Pump’s offerings and solutions, aimed to generate sales from these targeted prospects.
4. To recruit new distributors which are capable of selling Longer Pump’s offerings to the laboratory and research market as well as to small and niche OEM customers.
5. To actively work with new prospects in the application markets including Medical Device OEMs (IVD), Environmental Monitoring Instruments OEMs ( on-line water analyzers), Pharmaceutical Equipments OEMs and Scientific Instrumentation OEMs (HPLC, Atomic Absorb, SPE, etc) etc, aimed to enhance our market presence in the region. This task is very important, though in the beginning, the KAM will be working more on the assigned existing customers and targeted prospects in order to develop the necessary expertise.
6. To attend trades shows and industry forums, including adopting and implementing creative methods to promote the Longer Pump brand and value proposition in the region and in the industries.
7. To study the applications of the existing offerings in the new industries and new markets. To propose and contribute to NPD ideas – new product development
8. To monitor collect competitors information – pricing, marketing activities etc.
The successful candidates
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
1. Good knowledge on precision fluid handling solutions, familiar with products and components for precision liquid control such as precision pumps, valves, fittings and tubing assemblies.
2. Technical experience in at least one of the industries including clinical chemistry, In-vitro diagnostic, life science, scientific instrumentation, on-line water analyzers etc. Experience on selling to OEMs in these industries is very preferable.
3. At least 4 years of technical selling experience. However, candidates with less experience but with good learning ability and great potential to grow will be also considered.
4. Bachelor degree or above in related major, CET-4 is required, good reading in English and basic speaking ability.
5. Good team player, as we encourage collaborations at the group level, this person must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work with his/her direct superior and colleagues from other sister companies in the Division and in Halma China in a collaboration way to enhance the competitive advantages of the companies as a whole.
