Key responsibilities:

1. Assist students’ life/activity and daily office management.

2. Assist in academic affairs.

3. Help with planning, organizing, and attending the Center’s events and activities such as orientation, weekly activities, etc.

4. Help with the reception students/professors, and provide assistance when needed.

5. Interpret during large events, translate important documents and newsletters, post articles on WeChat and other social media platforms, and work on other marketing initiatives.

6. Work on other assignments requested from your supervisor.

Qualifications:

1. Good command of English skills

2. Strong initiative, passion, teamwork spirit, and sense of responsibility

3. Good communication and coordination skills. Experience in student work/voluntary activities is preferred

4. On-time participation in training and activities is a must

g-MEO, headquartered in New York City, was founded to substantially increase the number of US college students going abroad to China to study, including those in a variety of majors and fields. g-MEO is dedicated to delivering China study abroad program options meeting the highest quality standards in a variety of locations, offering a wide array of courses in English, as well as Mandarin Chinese language training and hands-on learning such as internships and community service. The Chengdu American Center for Study Abroad was co-established by Chengdu Municipal Government and g-MEO in 2011. It facilitates a cross-cultural environment where US students have opportunities to learn more about Chinese culture through study, internships, and excursions, as well as teach Chinese locals about American culture. g-MEO’s new initiative program - the US College Gateway Program - will help those Chinese high school students who want to study abroad in the US, earn credits from American higher education institutions, and better understand US college life.
