Principle Accountabilities:
To coach the local Engineers:
Cascade and monitor the application of defined best practices
Manage and lead the continuous improvement in Engineering
Ensure the training of the Engineers in the product and vehicle specific knowledge needs
Recommend training and development plans to Engineering manager
Support sales in convincing OEM’s to use our products, building customer intimacy: provide technical expertise in product application.
Manage the define resources to ensure efficient support of the must win businesses
Support the technical fairs and general presentations to the local customers
Provided RFQ technical files (specifications analysis, BOM creation, benchmark solutions and market analysis, prepare risk assessment and technical proposal).
To control and to enforce adherence to best practices for all Engineering activities for the PDP programs:
Best practices for CAD, PLEX and PLM processes correctly used for BOM, drawings and 3D
To attend / trigger design reviews
Support localisation /supplier development
Review validation plans
Manage problem resolution using structured concern resolution methodology
Ensure that all the issues during the validation are tracked and resolved using structured methodology
Validate that corrections are proven before implementation
Manage Engineering team appraisals and goal setting and monitor adherence to PTT (Project time tracking).

Education/Requirements:
Bachelor degree in Electrical (for motor), Electronics (for electronics ) Engineering. Master’s degree would be an added advantage
Work experience in corresponding (Motor & electronics) industrialization & continuous improvement is commendable.
At least 7 years of relevant experience in automotive field preferably with OEM’s.
At least 2 years of experience in team or project management
Broad knowledge and ability to understand mechanical, electrical and electonics drafting & drawing.
Basic quality assurance skills & Pro-active problem solving techniques.
Working knowledge of QS/IS & TS systems & procedures.
Working knowledge of systems like Catia, UG, or Ideas would be an added advantage.
Should have good communication & leadership skills.
