JOB SUMMARY
?Leads and managing the day-to-day planning activities of a specific workcell;
?To develop and implement strategic planning management initiatives that align customer
and Jabil business strategies in order to maintain a build plan that meets customer expectations and minimizes liability to Jabil;
JOB DESCRIPTION
?Review Master Schedule loading & changes to ensure alignment with customer liability agreement, capacity and material constraints.
?Monitor revenue performance – drive resolution to any potential disconnects to the Master Schedule.
?Provide timely performance appraisals to direct reports on workcell.
?Monitor and continuously improve drive-by-wire and any other relevant planning metrics. Create a focused effort for team to achieve & exceed plant and workcell goals in Master Schedule performance, obsolescence, inventory turns, on time delivery, and internal material downtime.
?Constantly review-staffing requirements of the planning function for the workcell and work with the Planning Manager to resolve any issues.
?Develop a clear understanding of customer’s forecasting / demand planning process.
?Develop and implement an automated method to receive and analyze customer demand resulting in a collaborative forecast.
?Develop and implement a disciplined Master Schedule change process. This process must include capacity and material constraint analysis.
?Develop and implement a disciplined production Planning process that results in current production plan that utilizes system driven planned orders, and considers material and manufacturing constraints.
?Develop and implement a process to record and track customer demand.
?Utilize and participate in the development of processes and tools to enhance the way we perform our function.
?Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
PREREQUISITES
?BA in Supply Chain Management or equivalent, along with 1-3 year experience in planning / materials management related field, or 1-3 years of experience in supervisory role. MBA and / or APICS certification is a plus.
?Advanced PC skills, with emphasis on spreadsheet skills and ERP / MRP / capacity analysis expericece.
?Strong analytical, negotiation, and both oral and written communication skills.
?Ability to effectively and professionally work under pressure, in a team oriented environment, with frequent changes in deadlines and priorities.
?Ability to provide leadership, direction, and to identify and resolve problems independently.
?Travel to customer, suppliers, and other Jabil sites may be required.
