The successful candidate will be expected to work within a team to provide consultancy services including design and testing and commissioning management for Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health Services. IDA has a good reputation working across various sectors. The ideal candidate will have an academic background in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Industry experience would be beneficial but not essential. IDA is renowned as an industry leader working across various sectors around the world. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing international consultancy and work towards a senior engineer status. The ideal candidate will have good technical knowledge of either mechanical or electrical engineering services, with a strong desire to gain cross-discipline experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Complete design calculations.

Drafting using 2D design packages.
Prepare building simulation models and analyse results.
Preparation of testing and commissioning documentation, design calculations, reports and specifications
Communicating with clients and other members of project teams via the telephone, email and project meetings.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor or Master Degree holder in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Experience in computer drafting using software programmes such as AutoCAD, Sketch-up.
Experience using industry standard software calculation packages (Amtech, DIALux, IES, TAS, etc).
Good written and spoken English skills.
Strong IT skills and an interest in using computers for combined design and drawing work, calculations and testing designs.
Industry experience is not essential but would be advantageous in the selection process.
