Job Summary
The Technical Architect will be responsible for overseeing and providing architecture support to multiple software development projects. He or she will be required to mentor technical leads and software engineers on technologies and development best practices. The Technical Architect works with the Project Management Office and Technical Leads to ensure the optimum technical solution is designed to meet customer need within the established project timelines. He or she also provides development oversight, enforces coding and design standards, and provides technical support for the team. This individual should have extensive experience in building large scale OLTP systems, Service Oriented Architecture, Web, Web services, and complex system integration.
This individual will coordinate and communicate with USA and Aaxis China Project Managements and upper management .He or she must also be able to build and manage these relationships to establish a high level of confidence and trust in their leadership and decisions. This person must be a self-starter and require minimal supervision. He or she must be able to lead multiple efforts at the same time and balance competing priorities.
Essential Job Functions
? Contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for all assigned projects
? Plan and design efficient and cost effective solutions for building or maintaining software application
? Establish system architecture and high level design of software systems
? Prepare and maintain system architecture and high level documentation
? Must be able to analyze/translate requirement specifications into effective technical solutions
? Authors all project documents in English
? Review design and code produced by members of the engineering team
? Provide technical and development process support to software development teams
? Conduct feasibility studies for new projects
? Participate in issue resolution and change control processes
? Work closely with the other teams within the Software Engineering organization to achieve effective end result
? Solve technical problems or recommend alternative solutions to team members and project leaders
? Participate in researching and recommending best practices for the monitoring, support, maintenance, and implementation of software applications
? Oversight of multiple complex projects to ensure proper implementation and on-time delivery
? May indirectly supervise staff on a project or event basis
? Ensure development is performed to the defined specifications
? Participate in recruitment.

? Provide coaching and mentoring to team members
? Possess excellent business ethics and professionalism
? Encourage creativity and forward-thinking suggestions
? Provide timely feedback on matters relating to team performance

Minimum Requirements
? Four-year degree in a technical area or equivalent experience
? Must have 5-10 year experience, Expertise in Design, Development & Architecture using J2EE
? Minimum of 5-year experience in designing and developing multi-tier software applications
? Mastery of J2EE technologies
? Mastery of Web Technologies
? Experience with system integration
? Good English communication skills: written and verbal.
? Excellent Chinese Mandarin communication skills: written and verbal
? In-depth understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD). This includes good understanding the Unified Modeling Language (UML)
? In-depth understanding of development methodologies: Rational Unified Process and Xtreme Programming
? Experience with designing SOA and N-Tier software systems
? Working knowledge of UNIX(Linux) and Windows operating systems
? Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities
? Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
? Extensive experience with full lifecycle of software development projects from establishing requirements through delivery and production
? Extensive Experience in building scalable, mission-critical applications
? Extensive Experience in leading software development teams
