GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Promoting Consolidated Metco, Inc. and its products within an assigned geographic area. Primary customers include commercial vehicle fleets, dealers and distributors. Extensive travel is required.


PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBLITIES:
1. Promote ConMet products at end customers including fleets, city and government run organizations, and dealers.
2. Gain new truck, bus and trailer specifications of ConMet products from Fleet and Dealer customers in the region and relay possible product development for these customers.
3. Initiate and manage fleet evaluation of ConMet products.
4. Promote a positive image of ConMet to all customers in the region.
5. Provide training on servicing ConMet products to fleet and dealer customers in the region.
6. Work with Dealers, Distributors & Fleet customers to secure aftermarket repair parts for the ConMet products in the fleet.
7. Manage service issues that may arise within the region in cooperation with service technician.
8. Maintain administrative records and reports as they pertain to the region.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
1. Excellent knowledge of the commercial vehicle industry. Specializing in either bus or truck or both is preferred.
2. Ability to understand wheel end products and brake systems used on commercial vehicles.
3. Excellent sales skills.
4. Competency in computer skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
5. Excellent follow-up and planning skills required.
6. Good public speaking/presentation skills required.
7. High degree of mechanical aptitude.
8. Ability to sustain an intensive travel schedule.
9. Ability to manage multiple priorities.
10. Ability to write reports from a technical standpoint.
11. Ability to promote a positive and professional image of the organization.


PHYSICAL ACTIVITES:
In this position, individual may be expected to lift up to 75 pounds from time to time. Also must be able to stoop, bend, reach or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods.


WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is expected to work in a field setting as well as a general office environment.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Three or more years of sales or service experience in a related field. Three or more years of experience in a fleet sales role is a plus.
